## Where it sits in the line-up

**Q: When is the Dream Machine Beast available in Australia?**

A: Ubiquiti announced it in April 2026 with availability rolling out through 2026. We'll list it on tech2have.com.au with AUD pricing as soon as stock is confirmed — contact us to register interest.

**Q: Does it really replace a separate firewall and NVR?**

A: That's the design intent: routing, IDS/IPS threat inspection and UniFi Protect video all run on the one appliance. For very large camera counts a dedicated NVR may still make sense — we can help you size it.

**Q: Is there an ongoing licence fee?**

A: No. Like the rest of UniFi, the Beast is license-free with continuous UniFi OS updates included.
