MikroTik's June 2026 newsletter is a good one: an ultra-affordable Wi-Fi 7 router, a clever PoE-to-USB-C adapter, universal deep-rack rails, and a configurable LoRaWAN sensor — plus fresh certifications, a brand-new RouterOS documentation site, and a real-world campus deployment. Here are the highlights.
hAP be lite — Wi-Fi 7 and RouterOS in a tiny package
The hAP be lite brings modern Wi-Fi 7 performance and RouterOS flexibility into a compact platform built for setups where space, speed and budget all matter. Low power draw (up to 12 W) and USB-C powering make placement simple almost anywhere.
- Wi-Fi 7 with Multi-Link Operation (MLO), BE3600-class performance
- Dual-chain 4.4 dBi 2.4 GHz + triple-chain 7 dBi 5 GHz (802.11b/g/n/ax/be and a/n/ac/ax/be)
- Dual-core ARM CPU @ 950 MHz, 512 MB DDR3 RAM
- 1× 2.5 Gigabit + 3× 1 Gigabit Ethernet
- USB-C powering; up to ~12 W consumption
- Full RouterOS: VLANs, VPNs, traffic shaping, advanced firewall, scripting, and CAPsMAN centralised AP management — no subscriptions or locked features
GPOE-USB — power USB-C and 5 V devices straight from PoE
The GPOE-USB converts standard PoE input into stable 5 V power for USB-C and 5 V DC devices, while keeping 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet passthrough — no nearby power outlet required. With around 15 W of output it handles heavier loads than typical mass-market PoE-to-USB adapters, and an integrated 2-pin DC terminal extends compatibility beyond USB-C.
Great for wall-mounted tablets, Raspberry Pi projects, IoT and home-automation gadgets, air-quality monitors, and MikroTik devices with USB-C input but no PoE-in — one Ethernet cable for both data and power means cleaner installs.
23–40 Rack Rail R0 — universal rails for deep cabinets
The 23–40 Rack Rail R0 provides stable rear support for larger devices in deep server cabinets (23” to 40”), where standard rack ears aren't enough. MikroTik positions them for products like the RDS2216, CCR2216, CRS520, CRS354-48P, CRS812 and CRS804 — and the rear section can even mount a smaller MikroTik device to use rack space more efficiently.
TG-LR92 — a configurable LoRaWAN sensor tag
The TG-LR92 is a flexible, cost-effective LoRaWAN sensor tag for demanding IoT deployments — monitoring temperature, humidity, motion and events with onboard data processing and intelligent event rules.
- Temperature, humidity, motion & tilt detection; magnetic reed switch for doors, lids and cabinets
- Configurable profiles and event-based rules (e.g. send every 6 hours normally, switch to every 5 minutes when a door opens)
- IP67 enclosure; battery life up to ~5 years depending on configuration
- This is the 902–928 MHz version (look for the TG-LR82 for the 863–870 MHz spectrum); a 2.4 GHz LoRa option works globally without regional frequency switching
- Works with MikroTik LR9 gateways and platforms like The Things Network (TTN); telemetry visualises nicely in Grafana via RouterOS container support
Certification updates
Several MikroTik products picked up important certifications, expanding where they can be deployed:
- TG-LR82 & TG-LR92 — completed LoRaWAN certification
- EG25 & SXTSq — now certified for PTCRB, CTIA IoT Network and AT&T carrier compliance
- LtAP-2HnD & R11e-LTE7 — received E-mark certification for automotive and transport applications
A new RouterOS documentation site
MikroTik launched a brand-new RouterOS documentation portal with a clearer structure, improved navigation, full-text search, version selection and an automatically generated CLI reference — handy for anyone who lives in RouterOS.
Campus case study: a Taiwan school keeps connected with multi-WAN
Serving around 2,500 students and more than 50 staff across six buildings including a dormitory, Taoyuan Yangming Senior High School needed reliable, segmented connectivity with dependable failover.
The IT team rebuilt the campus network around MikroTik RouterOS: a CCR2216 now serves as the core, handling routing for five WAN connections — one Taiwan Education Network link, two Chunghwa Telecom connections and two LTE backup links — with four CCR2004 routers providing distribution and segmentation. Policy-based routing directs traffic exactly where it needs to go while maintaining automatic failover.
After migrating to MikroTik with a clear multi-WAN policy and LTE backup design, the network has been very stable for our campus operations.

MikroTik on YouTubeYes — it runs the full RouterOS, so you get VLANs, VPNs, firewall, traffic shaping, scripting and CAPsMAN, not just basic wireless. It's aimed at people who want Wi-Fi 7 plus real network control in a compact unit.
They're the same sensor for different LoRaWAN frequency plans: the TG-LR92 covers 902–928 MHz and the TG-LR82 covers 863–870 MHz. There's also a 2.4 GHz LoRa option that can be used globally without regional frequency switching.
