Landed through Leader Systems last week, just before EOFY, the UniFi Protect AI Key is an edge-AI appliance that supercharges an existing UniFi Protect system. It takes the smart detections from your cameras and runs them through advanced AI models on-site.

Highlights: NeXT AI natural-language search (find clips with plain phrases like “FedEx truck” or “person walking a dog”), speech transcription of AI-camera audio, face & image enhancement, and AI alerts via Alarm Manager (up to 5 saved queries). Ubiquiti’s flagship gateway is now available in Australia. The UniFi Dream Machine Beast (UDM-Beast) is a hyperscale, 1U rack-mount Cloud Gateway built for large sites.

Under the hood: an 8-core Arm Neoverse N2 @ 2.1 GHz, 16 GB RAM and a 128 GB SSD, delivering up to 25 Gbps IDS/IPS and 7,500+ concurrent clients. Connectivity spans 25G SFP28, 2× 10G SFP+ and 8× 10GbE RJ45 with up to eight WAN ports, plus two 3.5″ NVR drive bays for on-box UniFi Protect.
